Patients should be aware of the importance of contacting the surgery to cancel an appointment in the event of their no longer being able to attend. Wasted appointments, waste money patients pay into the National Health Service and waste resources at the surgery. Patients might not feel it so difficult to obtain appointments with specific Doctors if these appointments were released back into the system in good time.
